We are now fully operational from our new studio at Suite 3, 226 Carr Place in Leederville. It’s located at the other end of Oxford Street from our last home of 17 years (I know, right?!).
That puts us next door to our original studio location from 2001. So it’s sorta like a homecoming. Even the barber said ‘Welcome back to the neighbourhood” the other day without any prompting. Made me feel all warm inside.
Here’s a bit of why we shifted: 2020 was a tumultuous year and as we began nearing the end of the third quarter, I wanted us to give us a new start with a location that was more affordable and retain the personal, intimate feel for our community.
Our new spot meets those expectations and more. It even gave me a chance to flex my interior design skills; I tried to skew toward industrial chic and I think I nailed it.
The schedule is 90% the same as it was last year, with the same time slots for the Group and Studio Sessions as before. You can keep booking online or contact me if there’s a class or session you wish to join.
As with any move, there are teething problems:
- Optus was very slow in getting our phone and internet up at the new spot. That looks to be happening Friday 29 January. Until then, feel free to contact me at 0402 267 463 or by email at neil@revolutionpilates.com.
- I apologise if you left un-replied messages at our 9443 1403 number between 14 December and today. There was something wrong with the message machine and we didn’t know it until today. Please ring me at the number above and I promise to get things sorted.
- The studio needs a bit more polishing. I am planning to fix the remaining painting and “jooshing” by next week. You’ll probably not notice what needs to be fixed; I’m a perfectionist so it’s my madness. That’s one of the reasons you like me.
- Give yourself some time to get familiar with the new parking situation. There are two, large Public lots across from the studio and behind the shops on Oxford Street. They both give the first hour free and if you use the parking app, you can add a few pennies more from the convenience of your phone if you need to be at the studio a bit longer. Most people have been having good luck finding spots across from the studio on Carr Place but treat that as good luck. There is also a dedicated ACROD space directly across from our building.
I look forward to seeing everyone back on their mats over the next month. Feel free to come in and say ‘hi’ to us and have a look at the new place.
Later, alligators!
